Utah Jazz:

Offense: (104.4 ) – 24th
Defense: (100.0 ) – 2nd
Net: (plus +4.4) – 8th

Record: 8-4
Games Week 4: (2-1)  Wins vs. Warriors, Nets, lost to Grizzlies
Games Week 5 (3 games): Mon, Nov. 18 vs. Wolves | Weds, Nov. 20 at Wolves | Fri, Nov. 22 vs. Warriors | Sat, Nov 23 vs. Pelicans

The Jazz remains an elite defensive club but is struggling to find cohesion on offense. The loss to the Grizzlies might be more about an individual matchup given Mike Conley was likely feeling emotional in his first game back in Memphis and his five of 19 effort speaks to that emotion.

Rookie Ja Morant stepped up to show his drafting team why they were right to put their faith in him winning the game in the clutch.

Still, the wins all came against struggling teams this week. Utah has some quality wins in the bank having bested the Clippers, 76ers, and Bucks but the win versus LA came without Kawhi Leonard or Paul George in the lineup and the other wins were based primarily on defense.

The Jazz will have another week to find their offense prior to a big five-game road trip where they’ll face four quality clubs. Hopefully, by that point, they’ll have gotten a beat on the offense as we know defense travels but they’ll need their offense to catch up when facing the elite clubs.
