Cleveland Cavaliers

Offense: (103.9) – 25th
Defense: (107.3) -15th
Net: ( 3.4)  – 22nd

Record: 4-8
Games Week 4: (0-3) Lost to 76ers twice, Heat
Games Week 5 (4 games): Mon, Nov. 18 at Knicks | Wed, Nov. 20 at Heat | Fri, Nov. 22 at Mavericks | Sat, Nov 23 vs. Blazers

The Cavaliers under the tutelage of John Beilein don’t mail in effort in spite of not having the talent to take on the top tier teams. Instead, they follow the lead of their vets Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson to compete night in and night out.

Unfortunately, even that isn’t always enough as they got swept in week four losing to the 76ers twice and the Heat.

How the Cavaliers fair in games versus the top tier isn’t necessarily indicative of their ability, however,  as out of the lower tier seeds in the East they boast the best defensive rating in spite of a harder schedule than their counterparts.

Entering week five their 15th defensive rank sits ahead of the Knicks (22nd), Hawks (26th), Pistons (27th),  Wizards (29th), Hornets (23rd) and Nets (21st) of the lower Eastern clubs. Only the Bulls (14th) ranked above them.
