Blake Griffin and Derrick Rose are back but it made zero difference at least in their initial games back in the fold which was two of the three games played in week four (Wolves/Hornets). Mind you one of those games featured the Malik Monk game-winning buzzer-beater.

This iteration of the Pistons as it’s constructed simply doesn’t mesh well and at some pint this season the Detroit brain trust is going to have to make a decision about the future of the club. Resting on statements of “our players are injured” isn’t going to keep cutting it for the fanbase especially when other teams are winning while missing their own top talents.

Conceivably the biggest decision lies in whether the Pistons want to move forward with both Andre Drummond and Blake Griffin. That said, there may not be a ton of teams interested in taking on Drummond. But, while Griffin would be easier to move and likely highly coveted (see Portland Trail Blazers and Boston Celtics) it’s unlikely the Pistons want to shop their top star even if he is injury prone.
