The lack of wing players available with both Otto Porter and Chandler Hutchison dealing with injuries is hurting the ability of the Bulls to play as a cohesive unit. They’ve got ample depth in both the guard and big man areas of their roster though. And, conceivably that should be enough for them to pull out more wins against some of the lower-tier teams and be in more contests against the higher echelon.
This week also featured rookie Coby White‘s coming out party when he single-handedly went on a fourth quarter terror scoring seven 3-pointers and outscored the Knicks all his own. At one point he connected on six triples in a row adding a lay-in along with one more triple to cap his 23 point fourth quarter and 27 points in all.
The Bulls might want to extend an open invitation to White’s North Carolina coach Roy Williams who was in attendance for the game since his presence seemingly inspired the young guard.
