New York Knicks:

Offense: (103.4) – 30th
Defense: (110.1) –  19th
Net: (minus -6.7) – 25th

Record: 4-13
Games Week 5: (1-3) Won vs. Cavaliers, lost to 76ers, Spurs, Nets
Games Week 6 (3 games):  Weds, Nov. 26 at Raptors | Fri, Nov. 28 vs. 76ers | Sun, Nov. 30 vs. Celtics

One head-scratcher is why the Knicks aren’t constantly banging the boards (on BOTH ends of the court) or simply extending their arms on defense. Hey, if the brain trust is going to sign every available power forward then why not utilize the skill set they can use to their advantage? While they do top the offensive rebounding category they rank 26th on the defensive glass.

Mitchell Robinson (2.9), Julius Randle (2.4), Taj Gibson (2.0), Bobby Portis (1.8), Marcus Morris (1.2) and RJ Barrett (1.2) account for 11.5 of the team’s 12.4 offensive boards. But, on the defensive end of the court, these six players account for 17.3 boards. It doesn’t seem feasible they would only pull down not quite six more boards on the defensive glass.
