For as much as this squad can string together a competitive quarter or two the Knicks fan base must be pulling out their hair the other 24 to 36 minutes per game.
Too often a player will get hot and the Knicks commit the ultimate no-no of going away from the hot hand. On rare occasions, they do the right thing (shout out to Spike Lee – though no pun intended) – and lo and behold they are more competitive.
In their three games played during week six, they lost to three Atlantic Division rivals punctuating the fact the division which used to be referred to as the Titanic Division isn’t relevant with the rise of the trio above and the Brooklyn Nets. That said the Knicks are still searching for their ‘heart of the ocean’ gem that will help push the Mecca back into relevance and that mission certainly seems like it’s buried deeper than the fictional ‘heart of the ocean’.
