When Collin Sexton is on the court the Cleveland Cavaliers benefit offensively scoring 8.0 additional points. The problem is opponents also score 8.9 extra points with him on the floor – which means the Cavs still don’t have the advantage.

As for Garland, the offense doesn’t shift massively with him on or off the court (minus 0.6) and the club is less egregiously lacking on defense — teams score 4.2 points less when he sits.

The Cavaliers are committed to these two youngsters for the immediate future. But the more Garland doesn’t either personal succeed offensively or make a greater difference for his team and Sexton is only a positive offensively the brain trust may reach a point where they are forced to reevaluate.
