Best OKC Reserve:

A. . PG. Oklahoma City Thunder. DENNIS SCHRODER

It has been a common theme for Dennis Schroder to be in this spot for the OKC Thunder in recent games. His solid play and scoring off the bench were once again on display tonight in Salt Lake City. Schroder scored a team-high 27 points and was effective with his shot selection. He has had a very nice season so far.

Best Opponent:

B+. . C. Utah Jazz. RUDY GOBERT

Rudy Gobert remains the driving force of the Utah Jazz. His dominant defensive presence wasn’t as dominant tonight be he was still a headache for the OKC Thunder throughout the evening. He finished the night with 19 points and 17 rebounds.

Notes:

More from Thunderous Intentions

The Jazz missed a lot of good open looks in this game tonight. Reminded me of the OKC Thunder team of last year, which wasn’t a welcomed memory

  • If Darius Bazley would have completed that outrageous dunk attempt in the third quarter, my neighbors probably would have heard me celebrating
  • There’s just something about the Utah Jazz that makes them so…unlikable. Maybe that’s just me.

  • Luguentz Dort is intriguing. He played wonderful defense tonight on Donovan Mitchell and made a few highlight plays in the fourth quarter. Hopefully, he keeps getting more minutes because he is entertaining to watch
  • Billy Donovan used his timeouts well tonight, which hasn’t always been the case with him
