Detroit Pistons:

Offense: (109.3) – 11th
Defense: (110.8) –  19th
Net: (plus +1.5) – 18th

Games Week 9: (0-4) Lost to Wizards: 119-133, Raptors: 99-112,  Celtics: 93-114, Bulls: 107-119
Games Week 10: (3 games) Mon vs. 76ers | Thurs. vs Wizards | Sat. at Spurs

I never bought into this Pistons team and much of it had to do with roster fit and health. Both issues are rearing their ugly heads after nine weeks.

At this point, it’s hard to imagine Blake Griffin every fulfilling an entire season healthy as he’s yet again struggling to stay on the court and in his one appearance last week took down another player (Norman Powell) with an unnecessary extra shot on his screen. I bring this up simply because it’s not the sort of thing that would endear his peers to beg for him to join their teams.

As for roster fit, how does a team with Andre Drummond who feasts on the boards with 16.1 total rebounds (4.5 offensive boards) and 1.7 blocks per game rank 27th at stopping teams in the paint?  Hmmm- could it be the roster compilation simply doesn’t fit each other?
