For those who question the value of PJ Washington, the three losses in week nine served as a reminder of all the little things he does and the value he adds to the Hornets outside the stat sheet. His tool kit is full and without him, James Borrego has to rely on others to fulfill the missing parts which mean by committee.

That’s a hard task given the young guys who are improving are more invested in the offense whereas the rookie Washington provides whatever is required. Not often that a rookie is the guy counted on to provide so much and again speaks to his overall value.

This Hornets team offers a guilty pleasure NBA League Pass viewing with their youngsters throwing up heat checks from the perimeter and sometimes paying off. Devonte’ Graham is a revelation although his week nine wasn’t quite as stellar as his previous showings likely due to teams making him a priority in their defensive game plans.
