Best OKC Thunder Reserve:

PG. Oklahoma City Thunder. DENNIS SCHRODER. B+.

Kudos to Dennis Schroder for seizing the new strategy and most importantly, getting the most of his talent by finding the best shot instead of forcing his. It’s made the offense that much more difficult to stop and his acceptance at going with the hot hand or finding the best shot is why this trio is so difficult to stop.

Schroder finished with 19 points, a rebound, 3 assists, and a steal. His shot taking was highly efficient with 6 of 14 from the field 3 of 5 from deep and 4 of 4 from the charity stripe.

Best Opponent:

DEMAR DEROZAN. A. . SG. San Antonio Spurs

More from Thunder News

DeMar DeRozan continues to produce effectively and efficiently for Pops. Offensively, he produced putting up 30 points on 13 of 25 from the field plus four rebounds and three assists.

Next time you watch a Spurs game or if you still have this one on your DVD isolate on DeRozan and his footwork. There are ample examples of players who move well but DeRozan has arguably the prettiest footwork in the business.

Like SGA can’t be sped up to do what others want DD is similar and his footwork is the key. He lulls players to sleep and utilizes change of pace, spin moves, and drives to throw off opponents.

His defense still lacks a lot to be desired but in a game that has succumbed to primarily being threes and layups he remains the master of the mid-range.

The OKC Thunder are in action once again this weekend as they continue the road trip in Cleveland taking on the Cavaliers who’ve been showing signs of life lately. Still, the OKC Thunder will be the favorites and hopefully can build upon their recent success.
