The new era Grizzlies sure are fun. They’ve got quality youngsters who’ll have a shot of being future All-Stars. Additionally, they have just enough of the right supplementary talents around them to make things interesting.

Although they’ll cough up big leads and lose they’ll also win games must young teams shy away from in clutch time (as the OKC Thunder learned this past week).

That perhaps is what separates the Grizzlies from all the other young teams – it’s as if they don’t know any better than to be nervous and get tight when push comes to shove. It’s also what makes them so fun.

While the OKC Thunder has kept Thunder Nation thrilled via being in virtually every game this season the Grizzlies fan base should be equally stoked based on the devil may care attitude they bring to the hardwood.

That, and as I noted a few weeks ago they aren’t out of the running to keep things interesting in the chase pack for those bottom seeds. This week could be telling as Memphis face two of the teams who were expected to be firmly in that chase pack.
