Chicago Bulls:

Offense: (103.9) 28th
Defense: (104.2) 3rd
Net: (minus -0.4) 14th

Games Week 10 (1-1): Won vs Hawks: 116-81, Lost at Magic 95-103
Games Week 11: Mon vs Bucks | Thurs vs Jazz | Sat vs Celtics

I’ve been calling it for weeks and lo and behold the Bulls are becoming a viable club with the third-ranked defense in the league. With Otto Porter due back soon, I’m guessing this club will be poised to climb aboard that ladder sooner than later.

If the Nets don’t get back Kyrie, Magic keep losing and Hornets fail to be consistent the Bulls could climb all the way to seventh.

The most intriguing aspect of this club will be if the notoriously tight fisted brain trust elects to make some moves at the trade deadline to shore up their needs.

In the interim, while the Bulls are playing some of the league’s best defense their offense is sputtering. They’ll get tested this week by the league’s top (Bucks) and fourth (Celtics) ranked defenses who also boast the second (Bucks) and fourth (Celtics) ranked offenses.

Oh, and they also get to play the Jazz who aren’t exactly failures in either category.
