Boston Celtics. 4. team. 18. . 22-8. Previous: 5th

Boston Celtics:

Offense: (111.8) 4th
Defense: (104.3) 4th
Net: (plus +7.5)  3rd

Games Week 10 (2-1): Won at Raptors 119-93, Cavaliers 129-117, lost to Raptors 113-97
Games Week 11 (3 games): Tues at Hornets | Fri vs Hawks | Sat at Bulls

The Celtics are feasting through an easy strength of schedule but moving forward there are a couple of things to watch out for:

  1. How well will the Celtics fare when their schedule gets more difficult?
  2. How long can the Celts continue to feast without solid depth upfront?
  3. Can the Celtics thrive in the postseason facing clubs like the Bucks, 76ers, Heat, and Raptors who all have more depth and height in the frontcourt?

Some of these questions won’t be figured out for months but the one thing which Boston opponents will need to resolve if they want to stop them is how to speed up pace.

In the games I’ve witnessed this season when Boston controls the pace they rarely lose – plain and simple. And, just as much as the frontcourt issues are real, so too is this Celtics advantage because the game slows down in the postseason — and Boston is already playing in that half court style and excelling within it.
