After the Paul George trade, Danilo Gallinari stated that he wanted to play for a winning franchise. Have the OKC Thunder done enough to keep him?

Thanks to Danilo Gallinari saying that he wanted to win for his next contract, many pundits believed that his time with the OKC Thunder would be short. This was due to the belief that the Thunder were going to be well outside the playoff picture this year.

Well, less than halfway into the season the Thunder are sitting in seventh with a good gap to eighth and working their way up the standings. They have been winning and by the looks of it are only getting better as a team.

No one player is putting himself ahead of any other and it is benefiting the whole group. Some might say that Dennis Schroder was at the start of the season but he has put himself on the back seat since Chris Paul has shown to be the best clutch player in the NBA this season.

This is not to say that Schroder has not taken over in the clutch either, the team is recognizing the hot hand and feeding it. The chemistry of this team is something that some coaches can only dream about; it just means that the Thunder are a fun squad to be on this year.

There was the one altercation in the locker room but that appears to have been dealt with, and the squad has moved on; as the Thunder are a truly professional organization.
