A big test awaits the 76ers this week as they’ll play two road games and one versus the Lakers. Although they delivered a solid week 13 effort the three wins came against sub .500 teams and the win at the Mecca came down to the final play.

Ben Simmons was sharp in taking command but aside from his crew picking up his defensive prowess, unfortunately, they also seemingly absorbed his offensive stance as well.

Even when Embiid returns there are moves to be made to shore up the lacking offense or the fit of the existing pieces.

Personally, I never understood the commitment to Tobias Harris and as per a recent article on how Presti can benefit from following a similar blueprint to Kevin Pritchard perhaps Elton Brand could benefit from his moves as well.

Not in terms of being limited by the financial restraints of a small market. Rather by the ins of outs of adding the right personnel who offer the proper fit in a system and as an organic unit.

At the time of the above article Middleton hadn’t found his form yet and he’s definitely more valuable than Harris. Still, of the five clubs fighting for best seeds in the East (let’s just call it the second seed at this point) it sure feels like the 76ers are the team who have to make a move.
