Phoenix Suns:

Offense: (109.5) tied 18th
Defense: (110.3 ) 19th
Net: (minus -0.9) tied15th

Results Week 14: (1-3): Won vs. Spurs: 103-99, Lost vs. Spurs: 118-120, Pacers 87-112, Grizzlies: 109-114
Games Week 15: (3 games) Tues at Mavericks | Fri vs. Thunder | Sun at Bucks

Rough week for the Suns who are attempting to stay relevant in the chase pack but got their hats handed to them in Indiana.

Oddly the club entered the week ranked close to the middle in all three stat categories. Specifically, they ranked 13th, 19th and 14th for offense, defense and net differential in week 13. One week and three bad games later resulted in them falling off the gains they made in those areas.

It’s unusual at this stage in the season for a team to drop (or climb) more than one spot but that’s precisely what happened to the Suns. Heading into week 15, they fall to 18th offensively and are tied for 15th in net differential.

It’s an odd step back given the club got Deandre Ayton back and he’s played well but losses to the Spurs (and a win), Pacers and Grizzlies who all posted 112 or more points against Phoenix highlights the very real defensive issues on the team that is now seeping into their offensive end.
