On a late night in Sacramento, the OKC Thunder use a scorching effort from 3-point range to blow out the Kings. Grades offer up the details.

The OKC Thunder came into tonight’s game hoping to rebound from a tough loss the other night. Sacramento proved to be the perfect place for a bounce back effort. On a night where they needed it, the Thunder rolled to victory.

It wasn’t pretty in the beginning. Both teams started the night extremely cold from the field as the score was still in the teens late in the first quarter. Paced by Chris Paul, the OKC Thunder got out to a seven-point lead after the opening frame.

As the game progressed into the second quarter, the offense returned for both teams. Bogdan Bogdanovic got hot for Sacramento and the rookie Luguentz Dort began his coming out party. The OKC Thunder rookie hit three treys in the first half to help his team extend the lead to 12 at the halftime break.

Oklahoma City continued their offensive success in a huge way in the third quarter, and really the second half as a whole. They seemingly made every shot they took from the great beyond in the third quarter, as the lead ballooned even larger in their favor.

The Kings’ offense never got going outside of Bogdanovic, and that was decidedly their downfall in the end. This game proved to be all OKC in the end, as the Thunder win going away by a score of 120-100.

Nice way to rebound and get things back going after a tough couple of days. On to Phoenix and on to tonight’s player grades.
