Previous: 14th. Memphis Grizzlies. 14. team. 211. . 24-25

Memphis Grizzlies:

Offense: (109.4) 19th
Defense: (111.4) 20th
Net: (minus -2.0) 20th

Results Week 15: (2-1) Won vs. Nuggets: 104-96, Knicks: 127-106, Lost vs. Pelicans: 111-139
Games Week 16: (4 games) Mon vs Pistons | Weds at Mavericks | Fri at 76ers | Sun at Wizards

The lone loss of the week came against the Pelicans in a match where Jaren Jackson Jr. wasn’t in the lineup courtesy of the melee in the Mecca.

As the trade deadline went down in week 16 and since we already know the results it wasn’t surprising Jae Crowder got jettisoned to the Heat. The fact is he was the Grizzlies vet and by him putting his rookie in harm’s way (who came to his defense) his value to the team lost its shine.

There’s nothing wrong with Crowder stealing the ball but to pull the punk move of trying to rub the Knicks noses in the blowout was something a young player would do not a vet who knows the in and outs of gamesmanship.

At season end, if the Grizzlies lose out by one game in making the postseason that loss to the Pelicans will undoubtedly serve as a reminder of how to conduct yourselves in blowouts and that sticking to proper game etiquette is the way to go.
