The Cavaliers GM Koby Altman will work the phones trying to jettison Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson specifically. The former will be almost impossible to move because there are other comparable players on shorter-term, more economical deals.

Thompson will be easier to move, but since he’s in a contract year he could just as easily become a buy-out candidate so don’t expect teams to line up for him despite what his agents keep feeding the pundits.

As for the deadline consider the Cavaliers sellers who’ll be anxious to land draft picks or young assets with no leverage or options to get either.

Week 16 offers up one sub .500 team and two tough tests in the Thunder and Clippers.
