A solid week from the crew in Bean Town particularly the victories over the Heat and 76ers. The first helped to push them ahead of Miami in the standings and the second was an essential win against the large 76ers who’ve won all previous three meetings this season.

That win doesn’t negate the need for Danny Ainge to shore up his frontcourt this week before the deadline.

The issue might be so many GMs are antsy to do deals with the Celtics GM because he takes such pride in doing trades where he leaves his trade partners feeling like they’ve been assaulted in hindsight. That prowess may end up costing Ainge as his peers won’t be keen to be added to his list of victims.

He could go after Andre Drummond but he’s one of those bigs who’ll get you plenty of rebounds but his stats aren’t indicative of his ability — read: Drummond can hurt the bottom line especially defensively. That means he’s not an ideal add for Boston. Moreover, AD’s salary alone would require sending back equal salary which is problematic all on its own.
