Defense: (112.0) 24th
Net: (minus -8.3) 28th

Results Week 15: ( 1-2) Won vs. Cavaliers: 131-112, Lost vs. 76ers: 104-115, Celtics: 104-119
Games Week 16: (3 games) Mon at Wizards | Weds at Nets | Sat vs. Lakers

The tankathon continues in San Francisco and unlike previous trade deadlines, the Warriors will arrive as sellers.

Clearly the trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and (for now) Draymond Green is untouchable. Citing it as ‘for now’ because it wouldn’t be surprising to witness the Warriors move Green at some point. But that’s not happening at the deadline. The more likely timeline will be once the Warriors GM Bob Myers will engage in finding either via the draft or another young asset who can be developed for the role (or portions thereof).

Golden State has spent this season assessing the talent they have and who could eventually mesh with Curry and Thompson.

The Dubs continue to say they want to see how Russell works with Curry but that feels more like banter to drive up his value or avoid the offers currently on the table.

If there is a commonality of the Warriors Final teams, oddly enough it wasn’t the perimeter but the defense. That factor alone makes Russell a player who doesn’t translate into fitting the long term scenario.
