Washington Wizards:

Offense: (111.3) 13th
Defense: (115.3)  30th
Net: (minus -4.0)  25th

Results Week 17: (2-0) Won vs. Bulls: 126-114, Knicks: 114-96
Games Week 18: (2 games) Fri vs Cavaliers | Sun at Bulls

The Wizards had a strong week heading into the break with two wins, albeit against the Bulls and Knicks. Bradley Beal‘s post All-Star snub could gain some credence if the Wizards can string together some wins.

But, they’ve got some big gaps to make up. Although they trail the Magic by three games in the won/loss column the issue is deeper. Orlando swept the season series so Washington would either need to get more wins than Orlando or set their sights on the Nets and hope the Magic emulates last year’s post break performance to move ahead of Brooklyn.

Additionally, they’ll need to shore up their road performance where they are 7-20 entering week 18 of play. After the break, they’ll play 14 games on the road. If they intend on nabbing the eighth seed that’s a key situation Washington will have to fix.
