For those who bought into the multiple trade articles for Andre Drummond and Derrick Rose, they offer an example of how agents and franchises can try to plant untruths in order to drum up offers. In this case, the camps were too aggressive and asked for packages beyond reason.

The result was Detroit moving Drummond for what boils down to a second-round draft pick since John Henson and Brandon Knight will be free agents this offseason.

This week the exits continue as Reggie Jackson is bound for the Clippers which is a fairly odd choice given they need a big man more — but it will block the Lakers from adding him.

As for the Pistons, Christian Wood continues to be the one player delivering promising stats that will put him in good stead in the future. If Luke Kennard can return healthy and Sekou Doumbouya can gain valuable minutes and growth down the stretch Detroit may be able to enter the offseason with the knowledge there is at least a trio of youngsters to build around.
