Question five of the OKC Thunder 30 for 30 finds the T.I. writing team providing video game suggestions for the team to play while housebound.

With the rise of COVID-19 cases occurring on day eight of the suspension, the need for self-quarantining was punctuated. OKC Thunder and all NBA players have joined the masses in terms of being housebound.

After a full week of being in lockdown mode, it’s understandable if everyone has reached a stage of boredom and are searching for ways to pass the time. One great way is through video games which can either be played solo or linked up via the internet to challenge others.

With that, the Thunderous Intentions writing team serves up our recommendations for the best video games for OKC Thunder players to try out.

I think the obvious answer here is NBA2K20, so I’m going to go off the beaten path and say that Chris Paul should check out Destiny 2.  This game is a first-person shooter set in the far future, with Guardians of The Last City protecting Earth from various interstellar enemies.

Teamwork is key, and CP3 would be very good at running a fireteam. His leadership abilities would be useful in helping his group run through a raid or dungeon. Destiny is also good for casual or hardcore gaming, so Paul could be involved as much or as little as he wanted to be.

Rylan Stiles:

They should absolutely play the new Call of Duty Warzone game, and live stream it on Twitch as other NBA players such as Devin Booker, Jalen Brunson, and others have done. No real reason behind this, it is just a fun game and I am desperate for entertainment. Let’s be honest, CP3 Darius Bazley and SGA on a twitch live stream would be gold.

I think some players on the OKC Thunder are already playing this, but I think NBA2K20 is the best video game especially for basketball players and fanatics. It gets you closer to the game even though you may not be playing in real life. OKC can set up matches against other teams in playoff contention or even a mock NBA Finals.

Tamberlyn Richardson:

Not having played many of the recent games I’m not well versed on the newer options. As the team notes, NBA2K20  would be natural for the players so let’s go with old standbys and select Tetris or any of the Super Mario series. As per the latter, the most recent release is Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
