The image above probably sums up the hustle and commitment of Deonte Burton (and Chris Paul) the best. The mentality to go hard in every play and fight for every loose ball.

Burton does not hold back and that’s created some of the best moments for him this season. One of those was in the Thunder  111-103 overtime win against the Brooklyn Nets on January 7th.

The forward finished with three points, three rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block in less than 16 minutes of game time.

As CP3 was the clutch King and took care of business with help from Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Burton contributed immensely in containing the Nets and setting up his teammates.

No one off the bench except for Schroder got as many assists as Burton. Despite the stat sheet reflecting huge tallies, his contribution was felt and without the heart he showed, it could’ve been easier for the Nets to release the pressure off them.
