OKC Thunder: Steven Adams top 5 games feature miracle dime
Adams puts up a monster double-double against Denver:
Any game against All-Star Nikola Jokic is going to be hard. But against the Joker on February 21st, Adams caused some damage. After shooting just three from ten to start the game, he came out for 10 points in the last quarter to give the Thunder the boost that they needed.
Despite Jokic scoring 32 points, Adams did a great job of defending him and once he got into a rhythm couldn’t be stopped. He put up 19 points, 17 rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and four steals. And was also five of six from the free-throw line.
Adams is capable of matching up against some of the best centers in the league and this was an example. It also emphasizes how much of an impact he can have on defense and offense without having to be a leading scorer or show up big on the box score.
He uses sheer determination, strength, a feel for the game and knowledge of the challenge ahead.
