In Paul George‘s homecoming match at Chesapeake Energy Arena on December 22nd, Adams and the Thunder gifted fans their first Christmas present – a 118-112 victory over the Clippers.
Adams put on a defensive masterclass and was dominant under the rim. Getting easy layups, setting sturdy screens and proving to be a problem as he fought for every rebound.
One highlight from the game included a slam courtesy of a nice pass from Dennis Schroder in the second quarter, as Adams opened the lane and soared from the free-throw line to put down the ball.
The Kiwi finished with 20 points, 17 rebounds, three steals, and two assists. He showed once again why opponents need to have a good plan prior to facing the Thunder because if you don’t Adams will take every opportunity to control the game.
This is also one of the reasons why he is so great at what he does as he adjusts his game to how his opposition is playing and can sense what his counterpart is about to do.
