Odds:
If you check different odds sites it’s kind of funny because Chris Paul is the player many expect to win this challenge. Ironically though Quigley is one of the players some cite as the underdog with the best chance to surprise. So, if all the sites are right then whoever wins this round should be the prohibitive favorite to come out of this side of the bracket.

- Should the OKC Thunder chase after a disgruntled hometown hero?

- Damian Lillard does not fit with the OKC Thunder
A group of ESPN analysts and writers made their picks for the champion with Trae Young leading the vote count (10) and Chris Paul coming in second with five votes. If you’re of the superstitious nature then the fact all 18 writers picked Young to make the finals could be a great reason to not bet on him (nine writers pick CP3 to make the finals).
Case in point: remember they predominantly picked Boston, Philly or Milwaukee to come out of the East last season and many didn’t have the Thunder making the playoffs this season.
All first-round matchups:
In addition to CP3 and Quigley, three other matchups will take place tonight. On the same side of the bracket are Zach LaVine and Paul Pierce. Trae Young faces Mr. Big Shot versus Chauncey Billups (good dark horse bet) and Mike Conley versus Tamika Catchings.
The event starts at 7:00 p.m. ET (6:00 p.m. CT) on ESPN.
