James earns first title vs. OKC Thunder:

How about LeBron James? Many consider him the best player to ever grace the hardwood, although we will see if public opinion swings the other way this weekend with the release of the MJ documentary on ESPN. The big debate between fans is about Championship Rings. LeBron’s three, to MJ’s six. That is where the OKC Thunder come in.

More from Thunder News

LeBron’s first-ever title came at the hands of the OKC Thunder in 2012. After being upset by the Mavericks, and locked down by JJ Barea the year prior, LeBron and the Big three would finally get their ever-elusive championship ring. It took them five games to do so, but they did knock off the OKC Thunder despite starting the series in a one-game hole.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook averaged 30 and 27 points respectively but did not have enough to overcome LeBron James who averaged 28 points, 10 rebounds, and seven assists in that series.
