Energetic Paul stuns Nets in overtime:

On January 7th as the OKC Thunder took on the Nets in the city that never sleeps, it’s fair to say that many did not sleep after seeing a spectacular performance from CP3.

It was the second night of a back-to-back after the Thunder had played the 76ers the night prior. But it sure did not look like the case for Paul who was full of energy and ready to go.

Down by three points going into the last quarter, Paul seemingly found another gear and took over the game. It started with a contested 3-point shot and then another long bomb against old teammate DeAndre Jordan.

Then with 1:15 left in the game, Paul crossed over Spencer Dinwiddie who was blocked off by Steven Adams and hit another jumper.

Going into overtime, he continued to play even harder. One highlight was a corner bucket two minutes into OT to get the Thunder going. Once he hit it, he turned around to the Nets bench and I’d like to think he said something like “yeah I did that, too easy.”

It didn’t end there though as CP3 carried on putting up shots giving him a total of 20 points in the fourth quarter and overtime combined.

He tallied 28 points, six rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Additionally, he shot 60 percent from the floor and was a perfect six of six from the free-throw line.
