CP3 steps up in second-half surge:

Paul returned from All-Star weekend with the same vigor he showcased in Chicago as he got past the Denver Nuggets with pace, helping the Thunder continue their winning ways.

It was February 21st and it wasn’t only the first match back from the break but it was also Jerami Grant‘s first visit back to OKC since being traded to Denver last July.

At the time, the Nuggets were the second seed in the West behind the Lakers and were favorites to win the game.

But the Thunder had other ideas and came out with a full-team effort as seven players scored in double-digits. Paul put up 29 points and 20 in the second half adding four rebounds, two assists, with an extremely efficient shooting effort of 64.7 percent.

CP3 played smart and steady basketball to keep the Thunder in the game and knocked down massive shots to chip away at the Nuggets.

It ended with the Thunder taking the game 113-101 securing their fourth win in six games.
