The Re-Grade of the former OKC Thunder wing Josh Huestis

As we have mentioned in every re-grading article, we can not re-grade a player without first assigning an initial grade to him. For me, Josh Huestis earned a C-, and it was only that high because of the trust I put into Sam Presti.

I wish I could say I was all in on the Joker, but instead, I loved Jerami Grant coming out of Syracuse and was floored when he fell to the second round. Grant eventually did become a member of the OKC Thunder and has since proven to be a top-level role player.

Instead, Sam Presti went with the project that was Josh Huestis and it failed.

I will say, I am one of the OKC Thunder fans that think with more consistent opportunities Huestis could still be in the NBA today as a good rotational player. Instead, he never got that chance and is left wondering what if?

Re-Grade: D-

The best you can say about Huestis is at least he was a rotational player at one point for the OKC Thunder which is more than most draft busts are afforded. However, when you combined his short stint with the All-Stars and top bench players he was picked over, his grade plummets.

Did you believe in Josh Huestis?
