February 23rd versus San Antonio Spurs:
The San Antonio Spurs may well be headed for the lottery for the first time in over two decades which is surprising on its own. However, Pops crew always seems to be one of the tougher outs for the Thunder and much of that is due to the way LaMarcus Aldridge plays in these matches.
The Point God did his best to help seal a victory in the previous game against the Spurs (February 11th) scoring 31 points and dishing seven dimes but they came up short. In that match, Aldridge delivered a double-double of 25 points and 14 rebounds while Dejounte Murray came one rebound shy of also collecting the double-double as he netted 25 points and nine rebounds.
Fortunately, payback was on the agenda on the 23rd as the Thunder held Murray scoreless and limited LMA to eight points and three boards.
Paul was the lead orchestrator coming one rebound shy of registering a triple-double with 12 points, nine rebounds, 10 assists, and a steal. The Thunder won the game by a 28 point margin.
