OKC Thunder: 35 moments in honor of Chris Paul’s 35th birthday
March 6th at New York Knicks:
While the rumor mill began pumping the minute Leon Rose was hired in the Mecca, Chris Paul didn’t let it phase him one iota. Sure, Rose was Paul’s agent prior to joining the Knicks and yes there are constant murmurs the Knicks want CP3 to come to New York and do what he’s done for the Thunder.
The problem is unless the club is willing to part with their young assets Sam Presti won’t likely be moved to pull the plug.
As if to punctuate why OKC would rather retain the guard’s services he delivered on this night in one of their easier wins of the season.
Although the Thunder got off to a slow start CP3 was at his very best orchestrating the victory. Another double-double was on the menu as the veteran led his team posting 21 points and 12 assists which transpired in five others producing double-digit scoring efforts.
He also added three rebounds, connected on four of his six 3-point shots and snared three steals.
