March 8th at Boston Celtics:
In the final game before the suspension began the Thunder were in Boston pulling out yet another clutch time victory.
Paul was everywhere that day but the final two plays of the game punctuated precisely how essential he is to the team’s success and his clutch time mastery. With time winding down Paul forced Kemba Walker to turn toward the OKC basket and trapped him. Dennis Schroder joined him as they forced the turnover allowing the German a direct path to the basket to score an easy two points.
In the final play, he bodied up on Jayson Tatum in a man on man defensive set. Despite giving up several inches he was able to force the youngster into a bad shot that came up well short of the basket.
In the victory, he produced a stat line of 28 points, six rebounds, seven assists, a steal, and a block.
