A man of many hats:
With the league out awaiting the suspension to be lifted, it could be argued Paul is busier than usual. With his position as the President of the National Basketball Players Association, he’s constantly on the phone or computer talking to team representatives, players, and the powers that be at head office.

- Stealing one player from every Southwest Division team for the OKC Thunder
- Should the OKC Thunder chase after a disgruntled hometown hero?
- 3 OKC Thunder players who can step up in Aleksej Pokusevski’s absence
- Aleksej Pokusevski sidelined approximately 6 weeks with ankle injury
- Damian Lillard does not fit with the OKC Thunder
He’s one of the most coveted interviews for his insight and perspective on how the players are coping with the layoff. Queries on what will be required when (if) teams return and any number of topics tied to the hiatus are among hot topics he’s frequently asked.
He’s a husband and father who hasn’t been able to spend the time he typically does with his family since wife Jada, son Chris Jr., and daughter Camryn are living in Los Angeles while he is in Oklahoma City.
Paul is back in LA while players and teams are practicing safe distancing and assumed the role of teacher, coach to Chris, laundry helper to Jada, and whatever else the crew might need and based on interviews is enjoying this time to reconnect.
He’s a role model for many of the younger players, including being an older brother figure to his young stars like SGA and Darius Bazley. Plus he’s most definitely the captain and leader of the OKC Thunder.
And on this day – — he’s Chris Paul the birthday guy.
The team at Thunderous Intentions sends out our birthday wishes to Paul with hopes he has a wonderful day with the family and an amazing 35th year.
We look forward to his return to the hardcourt and thank him for providing so many wonderful memories this season in OKC.
Happy Birthday!
