A special team:

Presti notes how this season perhaps more than any in franchise history has proven how arbitrary each campaign is. Though the franchise takes the same approach and has a vested culture the GM notes how this team just came together.

Wisely, he highlights Chris Paul’s effect stating ‘has there been a  more impactful player for his team this year?’

This has been my argument for why CP3 should garner that third nomination for MVP. No, he won’t win the award that will go to Giannis Antetokounmpo or perhaps LeBron James if emotions override logic.

Yet, in this narrator’s opinion, Paul is deserving of that third slot if for no other reason than the acknowledgment of what he’s done with a team no one expected to be in the playoffs. His work off the hardwood shouldn’t be factored in. However, analysts are using the point that LeBron should win because of how old he is or the adversity he faced dealing with the loss of Kobe Bryant.

In that vein, there is equal merit to the one player who invested the most time and effort to make the Disney bubble a reality while addressing the majority of his peers’ concerns.
