Which member of this quartet will seize the opportunity on the wing?

The staff is likely most interested in the group of youngsters who can play the wing. Clearly, if Roberson is capable of playing this issue isn’t as pressing. That said, another offensive threat would be a welcome addition.

The trio of Terrance Ferguson, Darius Bazley, and Hamidou Diallo each received positive comments from Donovan regarding their hiatus improvements. What makes their situation so unique is how different their weaknesses and strengths are from one another.

Given Bazley is still a rookie, and only recently turned 20 he gets more leeway. He’s yet to deliver consistently but demonstrates excellent passing and perimeter skills. He was set to return after an 11 game injury absence just as the season was put on hold. Bazley’s priority is to bulk up, be consistent and gain confidence.

Ferguson held the starting small forward role but after Dort replaced him while he was out injured he was content to let the 2-way contracted rookie keep the job. And worse, there was no uptick in production despite Ferguson now facing easier reserve opponents.

The most maddening part of Ferguson isn’t tied to his ability. Rather it lies in what appears to be a lack of desire.

Alternatively, Diallo is driven to excel but unlike his counterparts struggles especially from the perimeter.

Donovan noted Luguentz Dort got stronger (is that possible?). Like the above trio, Dort worked on his shooting efficiency and form during the hiatus.

Given his already above-average defense, ability to drive, ball-handling capacity, and aggressive nature if he added a consistent 3-point shot then Presti is due for knighthood, for the most economical signing of the year!
