20th) Kings –Cumulative opponent win total: 272

Seeding Game Record: 3-5, eliminated from playoff opportunity

  1. Spurs 129 – Kings 120 (July 31)
  2. Magic 132 – Kings 116 (August 2)
  3. Mavericks 114 – Kings 110 (August 4)
  4. Kings 140 –  Pelicans 125 (August 6)
  5. Nets 119 – Kings 106 (August 7)
  6. Rockets 129 – Kings 112 (August 9)
  7. Kings 112 – Pelicans 106 (August 11)
  8. Kings 137 – Lakers 122 (August 13 )

As a member of the chase pack, the Kings benefit from their easy strength of schedule. Factoring in their hardest matches comes toward the end of their schedule also helps since it’s unlikely the Rockets or Lakers will be playing James Harden or LeBron James big minutes in game six or eight respectively if they’ve nailed down seeding.

The most intriguing matches for the Kings are against the Pelicans as they both try to capture ninth and force a play-in.
