OKC Thunder backcourt grades

CHRIS PAUL. A+. . PG. Oklahoma City Thunder

This was a typical Chris Paul effort and why he deserves to be among the names discussed for MVP. No, he won’t be considered to win that award but I’d love to see his name among the candidates simply for everything he’s done to bring this crew together and make this season one of the most enjoyable in franchise history.

He produced a stat line of 18 points, seven assists, seven rebounds, two steals, and connecting on his one 3-point attempt. But, truthfully it’s his overall effect at managing the team and how the team has adopted his overall competitiveness that is the most impressive.

A. . G/F. Oklahoma City Thunder. SHAI GILGEOUS-ALEXANDER

Shai Gigeous-Alexander outplayed Donovan Mitchell highlighting his growth via the ease with which he scored and the improved effort to get his teammates scoring opportunities.

His final stat line offered a bit of everything with a game-high 19 points, six assists, two rebounds, and three steals.
