OKC Thunder look to stop bubble surprise packet, the Phoenix Suns
OKC Thunder Game Plan
As mentioned earlier, the Suns are going to come at you from every position on the court. However, their offense is led by Booker. Slowing Booker down will have a major impact on the Suns’ offense.
Luguentz Dort has some big names on his vision board. He held LeBron James to mortal numbers in the Thunders big win against the Los Angeles Lakers. He will be tasked with guarding Booker and will certainly make life hard for the Suns’ star.
Big man conundrum
Deandre Ayton has also been playing well in the bubble. He is another big reason that the Suns are hard to stop at the moment. He has collected three double-doubles in the five bubble games. Ayton is proving that he is a talent to be reckoned with.
The OKC Thunder were lucky to get away with using Mike Muscala as their starting center against the Washington Wizards. If Steven Adams and Nerlens Noel cannot get themselves right for this game expect Ayton to dominate. This will probably lead to a Thunder loss.
Passing of the point guards
This matchup is one of the best in the entire NBA. Chris Paul has had a resurgence this year, to the point of being named to the All-Star team. He is the most clutch player in the NBA and gives the team what is needed when it is needed.
On the other side of the ledger is Ricky Rubio who is an incredibly talented pass-first point guard. He has bought a toughness to the Arizona franchise not seen in a long time and it is showing in the results. The winner of this matchup will have a huge impact on the result of the game.
