OKC Thunder:
It was the worst time to be hit by injuries but the team got hit by the most simultaneous injuries they had dealt with the entire season. In the match versus the Grizzlies they were missing three starters – Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Danilo Gallinari, and Steven Adams plus their two top reserves – Dennis Schroder (out for personal reasons) and Nerlens Noel.
They lost that game and had a tough time against the Suns with another shorthanded squad. However, they posted big wins against the Jazz, Lakers, and Heat who were using their full cores.
Most impressively, they finished the seeding games with the second-ranked defense and considering all the injuries and games they played while shorthanded that bodes well moving into the postseason.
