The history of the Kanter trade.

This Kanter trade was a masterpiece by Presti. Jerrett was traded to the Thunder by the Trail Blazers for cash so this did not cost the Thunder any roster pieces. Likewise, Pleis was picked up from the Atlanta Hawks for cash.

Jackson was a potential key piece but showed his poor attitude. He was drafted with the 21st pick in the 2011 draft, so again, this did not cost any key Thunder assets. The only OKC player in the trade with any true value was Perkins.

In 2011, the Thunder traded Jeff Green, Nenad Krstic, cash, and a 2012 first-round draft pick for Perkins and Nate Robinson. Perkins played the veteran defensive role and helped develop Adams early on.

Krstic cost the OKC Thunder nothing in terms of assets either. He signed with the franchise as a free agent in 2008. However, we continue the history of the trades with Green, who is still playing good basketball, for the Houston Rockets in the current playoff OKC Thunder first-round playoff series.

Green was part of the trade which sent Ray Allen and Glen Davis to the Boston Celtics all the way back in 2007. Allen would then become a key contributor in the 2008 Celtics championship.
