OKC Thunder Starter Grades
Chris Paul is the singular reason this OKC Thunder team is moving on to a deciding 7th game. As he said in his postgame interview, “We got a chance”.
And honestly, that’s all this OKC Thunder team needs. They only had a .2 percent chance to make the playoffs and they are now one win away from the second round. Paul finished with 28 points, seven rebounds, and three steals.
Not a good game from Shai tonight. He finished the night with only 10 points and seemed out of sorts for most of the game. He did distribute the ball well with six assists, which continues to be an improving part of his game.
Despite being in foul trouble in the first half, Lu Dort came back to play a very nice game for the OKC Thunder. He finished with 13 points and hit two big threes. His defense is elite as we know, if he can ever get a reliable jumper, he will be a force to be reckoned with.
What a great bounceback performance from Gallinari tonight. He scored 25 points and hit four 3-pointers as he was the most consistent offensive threat tonight for the team outside of Paul. If he scores like this, the OKC Thunder have a great chance to beat the Rockets in Game 7.
Solid night tonight for the Big Kiwi. He scored only six points but had 14 big rebounds as he played one of his better games of the series. If Adams can stay on the floor in this series and be effective, its a win for the Thunder.
