What a game and what an effort from the leader of the OKC Thunder. Chris Paul became the oldest player in NBA history to secure a triple-double in a Game 7. He scored 19 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out 12 assists. Hate to see his season end like this though.
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was solid tonight but he was way too hesitant in this big of a moment. People are going to harp on him for his last pass to Adams, but that play was dead from the start.
SGA finishes his first OKC Thunder season by scoring 19 points. His future is bright along with the rest of OKC’s young nucleus.
Luguentz Dort played the game of his life tonight. He made OKC fans proud with his performance and effort not only tonight but this whole series.
For an undrafted rookie to hang and defend the best scorer in the world, and THEN drop 30 points in Game 7 of a playoff series is unheard of. This is just the beginning of our hero, Lu Dort.
Not a great time for Danilo Gallinari to have another stinker of a performance. Gallo scored only four points and failed to hit a triple.
This may be the reason the Thunder couldn’t get it done. When one of your best scorers only scores twice, it’s hard to win games like this one.
I love Steven Adams. But he played pretty damn bad tonight in this scribe’s opinion. Too many times Adams dropped a pass in the lane, missed a bunny, or flat out got smashed on the boards.
If he isn’t making a positive impact, why have him on the floor? The Big Kiwi finished the night with 10 points and 9 boards.
