Highlights

For a high flying, above the rim player like Diallo, there are always going to be a lot of visual highlights. After all, he was the slam dunk champion in his rookie season. He was not invited back this year which was an oversight by the NBA. You should always be able to defend your title.

However, we are talking highlights from this season and Diallo had many of them. The first, and in my opinion, his most impressive one was the double-double he collected in the final game against the LA Clippers.

He scored a career-high 27 points and collected 11 rebounds in 39 minutes of game time. While this was the last game of the season and the Clippers did not use their usual rotation, this is still special. He collected these numbers against NBA talent and that is not easy to do.

Another highlight was in the fifth game of the season where Diallo collected his first-ever double-double in the team’s three-point loss to the Portland Trail Blazers. He collected 12 points and 10 rebounds to go along with two steals.

When you combine this with the next game against the New Orleans Pelicans where Diallo scored 12 points this was a good patch of the season for the sophomore. This was only the second time in his career that he had back-to-back double-digit games.
