Gallinari came to the OKC Thunder through trade so Sam Presti was not responsible for this deal. However, I am sure when he traded Paul George, he was looking at the return on investment he would get for $22.5 million.

What he got was a player who was top twenty in the league in a number of offensive categories. On the other side of the coin, he also had the worry of how often Gallinari had been injured during his career. On that score, Gallinari missed a single game here and there as well as only missing a single four-game block.
He had amazing chemistry with his frontcourt partner Steven Adams, running off the big screens set into an open shot. This made the Thunder an incredibly dangerous squad when these two were playing with the three guard lineup.

Gallinari was a massive part of the reason that the OKC Thunder were not languishing at the bottom of the Western Conference. His shooting was incredible, as was his ability to put the ball on the floor on the way to the hoop.
His offense provided a level of uncertainty that did not allow the opposition to settle on a defensive scheme when they played the Thunder. He had a couple of games where he did not produce in the regular season and also some low scoring effort in the playoff series against the Rockets.
