Steven Adams had another good season for the OKC Thunder. Let’s take a look at how he went this season – grades.

Steven Adams had another solid season for the OKC Thunder. He averaged 10.9 points, 9.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.1 blocks, and 0.8 steals in 26.7 minutes per game. However, it is not just the raw numbers that sum up Adams’ value to this team.

Adams is one of the most efficient offensive players in the NBA today. He shot the ball at 59.2 percent from the floor which was 12th in the NBA last season. He only took 7.6 shots per game to average those 10.9 points.

Adams also sets the best screens in the NBA. He uses his massive frame to get his 3-point shooters open. Adams is also an incredible roll man who is hard to stop when he gets near the hoop. He also is a joy to watch on the offensive rebound on an OKC Thunder free throw.

How the Steven Adams skills helped the OKC Thunder this season.

Adams is the ultimate role player for the OKC Thunder. He is given a job to do and he does not deviate from it. As a result, he was top 20 in the NBA in a number of categories for this season.

He was seventh in the league for offensive rebounds with 207. In fact, he is 16th active with 1,823 which just shows you how good Adams is with this skill. He was 13th in the league for total rebounds with 583 which puts him 19th for rebounds per game this season with 9.3.

However, it is his shot selection which is tremendous. He finished sixth in the league with 59.2 percent. His career 58.9 percent is fourth active and fifth all-time. However, the most surprising number is that Adams was 19th in the NBA in offensive rating with 122.1 which is a testament to his screens as well.
