Make an NBA All-Defensive team.

Without wanting to put too much pressure on Dort, it is a realistic expectation that he should be able to make one of the NBA’s All-Defensive teams. If he had played a full season with the OKC Thunder in his rookie year he might already have achieved this honor.

More from Thunderous Intentions

Dort made some incredible plays defensively. They almost seem routine to him which is amazing because there are so few players who can do what he does. I mean, the job that he did on James Harden in the playoffs could go down as some of the best defense played by a rookie.

I remember listening to one of the commentators talking about how Nerlens Noel needed to not come over on help defense when Dort was guarding Harden. There would be 28 other NBA coaches talking about help defense when guarding him, Dort simply did not need it.

If he can stay on the court next season, Dort should get selected for this honor as his role will expand with the Thunder. He will also be getting some words of wisdom from Andre Roberson who has already been selected to an All-Defensive team, should he be re-signed.
